EBRAINS supports AISN project which aims to integrate AI in healthcare16 August 2022
EBRAINS is proud to support the AISN project which has been selected for Horizon Europe’s ‘Tackling diseases’ call for proposals. The goal of the project is to develop and validate guidelines for integrating artificial intelligence in healthcare, with a focus on post-stroke rehabilitation.
EBRAINS contributes to WHO position paper on brain health12 August 2022
On 9 August 2022, the World Health Organisation (WHO) hosted a webinar to launch its ‘Optimizing brain health across the life course’ position paper. EBRAINS is proud to have contributed to this document which provides a conceptual framework for what brain health is and how brain health can be optimized throughout life.

New maps of areas in the human insular cortex now available on EBRAINS9 August 2022
The findings provide new insights into the structural organisation of this complex and multifunctional region of the human neocortex. The newly detected areas are now displayed as 3D probability maps in the Multilevel Human Brain Atlas on EBRAINS.

EBRAINS robot simulation has learned complex hand movements20 July 2022
Scientists are using the EBRAINS research infrastructure to simulate a robotic hand which can perform in-hand object manipulation. Their work makes use of a unique combination of EBRAINS services, including the high-performance computing infrastructure, the multilevel human brain atlas, and the neurorobotics platform.
A panel at the FENS forum discussed the challenges associated with sharing and reusing brain data - and how the EBRAINS research infrastructure seeks to address these challenges.
